Our Recommendations
These policies are designed to help people with serious health issues. If you are in average or better health for your age, less expensive options might be available.
If you have already been turned down for term or permanent life insurance, you might want to consider getting a second opinion. Every insurance company has different requirements and some companies are more lenient with health conditions than others.

No Medical Exam
Most life insurance policies require a health screening for approval, but with guaranteed issue life insurance, there are no medical questions or phone interviews needed. And, unlike other forms of coverage, a high risk medical condition or terminal illness won’t automatically prevent you from qualifying.
Guaranteed issue life insurance companies do not require any medical exams or health history checkup of any kind. And unlike term life insurance, guaranteed issue life insurance is permanent, so you won’t have to worry about buying another policy in the future.
What if I have a serious medical condition?
Guaranteed acceptance whole life insurance is ideal for people with pre-existing conditions. Some providers even offer living benefits that can provide financial assistance if you are diagnosed with a chronic or terminal Illness.
Are there any cons?
Graded death benefit
You should however know, this type of insurance does not offer full and immediate coverage. Most policies have a waiting period or graded death benefit clause.
What does this mean?
The waiting period is a two-year period at the beginning of the policy. During this time, if you die from a natural death, the full death benefit is not paid out. Instead, your beneficiaries will receive a refund of the premiums paid, plus some interest.
In the case of an accidental death, the full benefit will be paid, even if it occurs during the first two years of coverage. This money can be used for any purpose, including final expenses like funeral costs, medical bills, and any unpaid credit card debt.
Can I get guaranteed acceptance life insurance with no waiting period?
Almost all issue guaranteed policies require a waiting period. But, if you are currently working at least 20 hours per week, and want to avoid waiting two years for full coverage, we may be able to help. For more information please call us at 855-247-9555 or request a free quote.
Does my age matter?
Issue Age
Age is actually the only restriction for this type of coverage. Most life insurance providers have a minimum and maximum issue age. Guaranteed acceptance life insurance is most commonly purchased by seniors ( between 50 and 80 years old). But some life insurance companies have options for applicants under the age of 40.
There are also a few that issue guaranteed acceptance life insurance to seniors until the age of 85.
Let’s see how much coverage does this type of policy offer.
Policy Coverage
How much coverage can I get?
The amount of coverage that guaranteed acceptance life companies are willing to offer is lower than a standard life insurance policy can offer. Most policies offer up to $25,000, but there may be a few exceptions for applicants that are currently working.
In this situation, you may be able to purchase as much as $100,000 of coverage without a waiting period. What is Guaranteed Acceptance Life Insurance?
Guaranteed acceptance life insurance is a form of permanent coverage that is available to people with serious health issues. These policies were created to help otherwise uninsurable individuals with their burial costs and end of life expenses. They are easy to purchase and do not require an exam for approval.
The trade-off with guaranteed acceptance life insurance is that it requires a two-year waiting period where coverage is limited. During this time, if you pass away from anything health-related, your beneficiary will receive a refund for the money you've paid into your policy plus 10-20% interest.
If you pass away in an accident, or from a health-related issue after two years, your beneficiary will receive the full death benefit from your policy. This allows the life insurance to remain affordable and it encourages people to buy their coverage when they are younger and healthier.
How Much Does Guaranteed Acceptance Life Insurance Cost?
Guaranteed issue life insurance rates are determined by your age, gender, and the amount of coverage you need. Some insurance providers also consider tobacco use, but this is less common. In the following table, we've provided some sample quotes to help you estimate the cost of your policy.
